was made from glassy faience and gold. It was dated back to the
Eighteenth Dynasty
of Egypt,
New Kingdom
, the reign of
Thutmose III (1504-1450 B.C.)
.
This cup was discovered in the tomb of the Wives of King Thutmose III, in Wadi Gabbanat el-Qurud (
Upper Egypt
).
It is now on display for the masses in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
