Palermo Stone Kings List is the earliest kings list. The Palermo Stone was engrossed on both sides of a large separate temple stela, only a fragment of which continues nowadays. Egyptologists believe that the intact rock would have offered a record of every last king who ruled preexisting to the
5th Dynasty, taking on some
Predynastic Period ones, as well as a complete record of the events of their rule (such as expeditions of different kinds, military victories, and constructing projects).
