Part of Abydos king list |
Royal King List of
Abydos is a list broken in the corridors of the Hall of the Ascendents in the mortuary temple of King Seti I (1306-1290 B.C.E.) in Abydos. This list checks the names of the swayer from
Narmer (c. 2920 B.C.E). to King Seti I, a good of 76 rulers. In That Location are reportedly intentional skips in the Abydos Tablet, taking the
Second Intermediate Period rulers,
Akhenaten, and other
Amarna rulers.
Ramses II copied the list for his own temple. The Abydos Kings list is in London (the British Museum).
