It is dated back to the Middle Kingdom, Twelfth Dynasty of Egypt (1981–1802 B.C.).

It was discovered in the tomb of Ankhef (tomb 9), Assiut in Middle Egypt.

A wood, quartzite, leather quartzite Mallet. It was dated back to the the early years of the reign of Amenemhat I (1981–1975 B.C), Middle Kingdom or later, the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt.

It was discovered in the tomb of Meketre in  Southern Asasif, Upper Egypt - Thebes.
