Goddess Astarte or (Ishtar) was a goddess starting in Syria and took into Egypt in the
New Kingdom (1550-1070 B.C.E.).
Amenhotep II (1427-1401 B.C.E.) erected a Stella observing her in Giza. She was given the rank of a daughter of the
god Ra and was made a consort of
Set. Astarte helped as the patroness of the pharaohs chariots in martial campaigns. She was depicted as a uncovered woman wearing the atef, or bulls horns. She had attended as a war goddess in Syria.
